Changing .pps format into separate DVD readable file

My DVD player connected to a television set,
does not recognise a PowerPoint presentation,
copied to a CD-R, because of it's file format .pps.

What should I do to make this file readable for
my separate DVD player?

Even Media Player does not recognise this format.
Movie maker reads only the slides, but does not show
the transitions.
