Changing out Motherboard

I am ready to change out a motherboard, but I am afraid if
BSOD takes place.

How do I prevent BSOD?

I have copied the intall CD onto a folder on the HDD. w
Will that help?

Assuming your new hardware so woefully incompatible with your old
hardware that it bsod's, then just boot the install cd again and do a
repair installation.

If Internet Explorer 8 has been installed on the hard drive, then the
"just" part of the repair install gets a bit more complicated...

"How to perform a repair installation of Windows XP if a later version
of Internet Explorer is installed"

I installed the new motherboard a Supermicro X7SBA and now cannot ping another
machine thought windows say the connections are working.

Any ideas?

Here is the answer, the onboard dual Gigabit ethernet
are one unit, do not attempt to split them.
