I have recently bought a new computer that has Windows Vista/Windows Mail.
My old computer had OE. I have done what I know to do to set up my email
account on the new one, but I am not receiving all of my mail. I can receive
some mail but not from personal contacts. I'm not receiving any error
messages. Is there something more that I can do to correct this problem. I
have cable service, pop incoming, smtp outgoing. Everything is set up the
same way it was on outlook express. Please help, thanks!

I had the same problem setting up windows mail.
What I did:
1. windows mail
2. tools
3. accounts
4. removed all email accounts
5. restart
6. set up mail again just like I did for xp
7. restarted again

Works great for me now. If this doesn't work you may try to contact your
server.

If there was a problem with the email account settings
you'd think that an error message would be generated
when the account is polled for new mail.

I also just bought a new computer the old one crashed. I had OE and now have
the windows mail. I added my old email addresses but cannot access any of my
contacts from the old email addresses. The only contacts that are showing are
the ones that have just sent me emails. Any help?

What have you done to put the contacts on the new machine?
Can you access the hard drive from the old machine?
