changing NETBIOS domain during AD upgrade?

NT4 domain (sp6a)

Is it possible to change the NETBIOS domain of my existent NT4 domain during the AD upgrade?

if yes do you have any M$ article related

not when upgrading to Windows 2000 (if remember well)
but it should be possible when upgrading to Windows 2003
