Changing navigation buttons to horiz orientation

I'm using FP 2000. My current theme has the navigation
buttons arranged vertically in the left margin. I've not
had any success changing the orientation to horizontal,
so that the buttons would appear across the top of each
page. When I make the change under Orientation and
Appearance, nothing happens; the buttons remain vertical.
What might be preventing the change? Thanks!

Have you added the navigation component to the top shared border?

Click in the top shared border area of your page, then check under the insert or format menu for
adding the navigation component.

I did that, but now only one of ten nav buttons ("home")
appears at the top.

Now I have all ten buttons on the home page, but no
buttons on all of the other pages, just the following:
[Edit the properties for this Navigation Bar to display
hyperlinks here]. I next click on Properties, but I don't
know WHAT to edit.

Tom,

Would you mind taking a look at my site? The nav bar is
not yet perfect, as the Home page button is missing from
the horizontal bar. The site: http://blake57.bizland.com.
Thanks!

Bob,

It appears that you have everything working, as for the home link, you will have to work with the
settings. I don't work with the FP navigation component, as I prefer to create and manage my own
navigation.
