I thought I heard some where you could change the local admin password via a
GPO. Does anyone know how to do that?

What you're probably referring to is "rename the administrator account",
which is in the default security policy. You can't change the password, but
renaming the account name to something other than administrator adds an
additional layer of security since most "dictionary" attacks use the
username "administrator". It's a good thing to do for any computer with
public/network/Internet access.

Check out PSTools at http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/PsTools.html.
They have a tool that will change the password but it is not GPO related.
