hello
im using vista ultimate and my problem is that the adaptec RAID controller
and the TV pcix card use the same irq 16. The "changing settings" button is
gray and i cant use it for manually assing an irq value. Is there any way to
bypass the automatic settings ?

thanks

You using DOS?
Why do you need to change the IRQ?

Hi,

IRQ sharing is common, and it is rarely recommended that you change them
from manufacturer defaults. Doing so changes the priority the hardware
recieves from the processor and may severly impact the hardware's
performance.

The lower IRQ ranges can sometimes be altered in the system BIOS. Upper ones
are virtual, created by the operating system to handle hardware priority,
and should not be adjusted.

so why the tv card doesnt play why i plug in the adaptec card? I thought it
was an irq matter. Both cards cant play. Only if i remove one of them. Is

Hi,

Check the BIOS to see if you can reassign the raid controller. You likely
are seeing the result of conflicting software. Is the TV card supported by
x64?
