Changing IDE raid controllers

I want to use two drives from an older machine which are in an IDE Raid
array on an Adaptec 1200 Raid card. They will go into a new machine using
an onboard Promise controller. Saving data is not an issue. Is simply
deleting the Raid array with the Adaptec controller sufficient to allow the
Promise controller in the new machine to create a new array? Or is there
some hidden issue I'm unaware of?

Thanks,
Eric

Deleteting the RAID array first using the Adaptec controller is all you
should have to do.

The RAID formats will presumably be entirely different, so I doubt the
Promise controller would notice or care that the drives were part of an
array previously, even if you didn't delete the array on the Adaptec card..
