Changing hyperlink defaults

I am trying to get my hyperlinks to appear differently
than the default settings in PPT. I have tried design
schemes, but they don't seem to work. Any tricks I need
to know about here?

This is on an existing presentation that employed
hyperlinks the way we wanted to before.

Can you give us a clue as to what "appear differently" means? Color?
Underline? Highlighted? What?

....And always state the version you are using.

Version is 2002. Default seems to be a light blue color
with underlines. I just want my hyperlinks to appear with
a in Arial, bold, 10 pt., navy blue and no underline.

I keep going to design schemes, but no luck.

Sorry about my lack of information -- a bit new to these
types of boards/forums.

Thanks

The only thing you can change about hyperlinks is the
color. This is in color schemes. You can change the
hyperlink color, and the followed hyperlink color. There
are other ways around this, for example, you can remove
the hyperlink all together and put a square in front of
it, and set the fill and line to 'none', giving it the
appearance as if it were never there. Make sure you give
it a hyperlink before you do so, because it is quite
difficult to reselect if after you deselect it. Another
way is to use wordart, and link that.

If you don't want the underlines, then you need to stop there and use
objects as hyperlinks, not text. Hyperlinking text causes underlines, which
you cannot get rid of.

Draw a no-line box over the text and fill it with any color and 100%
transparent. (only works in 2002) That will allow you to easily "grab" it
later. Then hyperlink the box.
