Hi There!!

I Have a Pentium III Slot 1 with Windows 2000 instaled.

My mainboard doesn't work and I had to purchase another one.

How can I make my Windows 2000 recognize the new hardware without make a new
instalation?
Is there something about the HAL stuff? Or something else?

Thanx,

Mauricio Charmite

Although the KB article refers to XP, it's the same procedure for 2K.

Keep in mind, after the repair, you will have to re-install any
updates/patches to the OS since that time of the repair disk was made.

Some updates/patches will follow thru, others will be lost and have to be
re-applied.

This does not hold true for third-party apps. They will stay as well as
your personal data.
