I have an option to use an IMAP server to archive data. I am running into an
issue using outlook 2003 when i create the pst for the IMAP server it
defaults the pst to the previous format version (97-2002). MY data on the
IMAP server is over 3GB so I am having an issue here. I want to be able to
change the default creation of the PST to 2003. ANy suggestions?

Hello Sheila,

You cannot the pst file format once you have created. However you can create
a new pst file in two of the formats--- personal folder file and personal
folder file 97-2002.
Outlook>File>new>outlook data file>choose Persanal folder file>Give a name
to the pst.
Once you have created a new pst file appears on the left pane of the outlook
main window.
To make the pst as default>Tools>accounts>choose view or change e-mail
accounts>down below u have an option to choose the pst files by clicking on
the drop down arrow key.

Hope this will resolve the issue.

I understand you can create a new pst with the 2003 format. BUT the problem
is when i configure the imap account it defaults to the old format (which has
issues with 3gb size). I do not have the option to select the 2003 format on
the creation of the imap account.
