changing font/format of individual items in combo box

I need to be able to BOLD specific items in a combo box list. Not all
will be bolded.

I'm not finding any appropriate methods for the items. I'm wondering if
I need to do something like make the combo box list a list of label
objects (if that can be done).

Any help please?
