Changing COM-port for Bluetooth device

A bluetooth GPS receiver connected to a laptop with Windows XP prof.

I do the BT connection in the builtin "Bluetooth manager" in WinXP and the
GPS receiver is getting the virtual COM-port nr 16.

The problem is that the software (Fugawi ver 3.1) which should connect to
the GPS receiver can not handle COM-ports higher then 10.

Is there a way to change the nr of the COM-port for this BT device ?

Anyone?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards
