I'm trying to reduce eyestrain. I tried changing the XP color scheme to
the following:

Display Properties
Appearance
Windows and Buttons: Windows XP style
Color Scheme: Olive Green

This made my desktop light blue with dark letters. This seems easier on
my eyes. Is there a way to change to this in all my windows?

Couldn't I just use an existing Microsoft theme?

Does Microsoft have themes that changes the white background in each
window?

There are hundreds of themes that you can download for free. You can set as
many colors as you like and save that scheme once you have it set. Using a
much better application than the one that comes with Windows makes it easier
and more organized.

In case anyone is interested, here is how to change the white
background.

Display Properties->Appearance->Advanced->Item: Window

That will work for all programs that "read" and use that setting. The
ones that don't, will have to be adjusted in their own prefferences menu.

I'm unclear on this. Do you have to download the tgtsoft software in order
to get these themes? Does microsoft have additional themes you can download
for free?
