Hi group,

I heard that the default block size on HD for NTFS is 4KB,
which can be choosen upto 64KB.. Is It true?

If the above holds good, does it make sense to choose the
block size of 8KB while creating Volume/Partitioning?. we
are thinking that a 8KB block size is good for placing SQL
Server 2000 Databases on NTFS partition.

Kindly write your opinions.

Regards

Chip
