I have taken over the management and development of a website.

The previous author's name is on the pages that he generated.

(rt click the page in frontpage 2003, the properties summary shows "created
by" and "modified by")

The pages that I am generating are being assigned with his name.

How does one set the authorship name to a page that is being developed?

More importantly, some of the prior pages have been completely rewritten
(not a minor modification). How does one change the authorship of those
pages?

Thank you in advance

It is based on the login. Are you using the same login?

If you feel your current issue is a results of installing
a Service Pack or security update, please contact
Microsoft Product Support Services:
http://support.microsoft.com
If the problem can be shown to have been caused by a
security update, then there is usually no charge for the call.

Ok, we are talking about the name that appears next to the file date, correct? If yes, then is based
on the account login.

To change it Add a new User account under the FP SE and use the new credentials for your login
(or have your host add it if they restrict setting up users under the FP SE)

Note:
- the new credentials will only change for files you edit or add with them
- to change them all to yours, you would need to Publish All from some other FP web to the subject web

Thank You Stefan for giving me the answer as how to solve the problem. Not
exactly the answer than I wanted to hear (as it would take a 2nd FP account
to solve the entire problem), but it does give me something to work with and
solve the problem.

Thanks again
