In the Narrator Voice Settings I've only got listed one voice, Microsoft
Anna, this is fine; however, my colleague has a male voice and I want to
assist him in getting Anna's soothing voice It is alluding me where these
options may have come from and the "help" didn't help. Microsoft Groove uses
this voice when alerts are set to "Speak it" and I am doing my best to pulll
a diverse group of people together and this detail is something I think will
help.

Is this a Windows Add/Remove feature?

Anna is the voice availiable in the box with Vista. TTS engines compatible
with Narrator and SAPI 5.3 are availiable from third parties.

For more information in setting up Text-to-Speech see:

Thank you - I am exploring the just released today Orpheus TTS voice. My
interest in this topic started out from the point of no knowledge of TTS but
I am now far more informed. This is an emerging tool that is really at the
edge of becoming readily usable and adoptable at large.

My colleague had upgraded his XP Pro machine to Vista Biz and so had a
couple of extra voices from LH and so once we found the proper UI to choose
voices we switched to Anna. Microsoft Anna is far and away much better.
Still though I hope Microsoft can continue to help to improve the clarity and
voice nuance expressiveness in future TTS development.
