If I walk away from my PC XP for 15 minutes, it will log me off. How do
I change that? I looked in Computer Mgmt and UA on the Ctrl Pnl.

I don't know if this will work for you, but I found this:

"Right click the Desktop/Properties/Screen Saver tab, look at the options
for your Screen saver and also Uncheck the "On resume, password protect"
option.

"Also in the Monitor Power settings using the Power button. Look on the
Advanced tab, and the Options section, uncheck the "Prompt for password when
computer resumes from standby" option."

Disable automatic logoff feature

When I had dial-up, I think it was, I would get logged off, or hung up
on, so I used Agent to send stay-alive messages every n minutes.

OP, you might find a copy of Free Agent and run that. I don't know
what the default setting for that is.

Or you could buy a copy of Agent 6, since you use newsgroups. You
might like it.

I see they are caled "keep-alive messages" and on this computer I'm
still sending them every 60 seconds. Hmmmm.
