I have an old work Laptop for my personal use with company Windows 2000 on
it. I would like to update it Network Policy restriction prevent downloads.
Is there a way to change the Policy setting on this laptop to allow me full
access ? I am already administrator on the PC.

thank you

You need to go through the group policy settings to see what's locked down.

OT, but if I had a "retired" business laptop, I'd personally
rebuild/reinstall the OS from scratch so I could control everything that was
on it. (must also mention that WinXP is much better, particularly for
laptops).

i agree.....i gave up on the Win2000...unfortunately its not worth spending
$200 for XP on it. Its pretty much worthless now. For another 150 I can
buy a brand new P4 256 w/XP Home under warranty from Dell. So I would do
that before investing any more time or money in this POS laptop.
