Hey there

I was wondering if there is any major differences in how hyperterminal is
implemented in Win2000 versus XP-SP2.

My problem is that my teacher has a laptop installed with win2000, and i
have one installed with XP-SP2.

The point is that when he uses hyperterminal(9600-8-n-1) to access a
Z80-board via com and does a textfile tranfer it takes about 12 sec.
When i try the same on my XP to the same board, using the same cable,
transfering the same file it takes about 6 min. to complete.

I'm thinking differences in the HAL, or something much more basic.

To clearify. We have tried on different computers running XP, with the same
result. Unfortunately we dont have another Win2000 machine to test with.

Looking forward to here any sugestions ?

Henrik
