Changed the SID by mistake - No help from program support

Please read correspondance with Copy Commander Support:
Unfortunately, I purchased Copy Commander 7.05
software before I realized I couldn't copy onto a USB
external drive. In the meantime, as I was "playing" with
this program, I hit the Advanced > Change SID > All Drives
and Partitions. (I thought it would take me to another
screen before doing anything). Well, when I re-booted, my
desktop was different and my Outlook contacts, notes,
emails, favorites, etc. were gone. Obviously they're still
in the computer because my harddrive has the same used
space as before. I noticed that my document settings are
under a new admin account. I tried to do an XP "Restore"
but there're none to restore to. Can you tell me the best
way to bring my laptop back to it's original setting? Most

Sorry, there is no way to 'reverse' a SID setting that I
know of.
I've quickly browsed the Microsoft's knowledge base and
couldn't find anything.
Check it out yourself, or see if MS's support can help.

Seems like you got a new profile there.

A profile can be copyed to another profile. So what you
need to do is:

Go to C:\Documents and settings\ and take a look at the
profiles. One of the profiles is the new on and one is
the old one (you should also see administrator, all users
and default user).

Look at the size of the folders. The old one should be
the largest one(it allso has the things from "My
documents" and desktop etc.). Now, remember witch profile
is the old and witch is the new.

Right click on "My Computer" -> "Properties" -
> "Advanced" -> "Settings" (under User Profiles) ->

(check the old profile) "Copy To" -> "Browse" -> Check
the folder of the new profile.

Well, it sounds like their level one support is giving
you a run-around. Since Microsoft does not provide
a way to "change SID" let alone to do so over "all drives
and partitions" this is obviously something that they have
programmed, which means it is something they should be
able to support. For example, Change SID to What? and
how to Change SID to what it used to be?

Otherwise, as the other post indicates, you could try
salvaging what you can from the now abandoned profile
and move on.
