I am using XP professional and changed settings from
domain to workgroup so that I could access files on my
home network. Now I cannot Log on to windows - it does
not accept my domain user-name and password, neither will
it accept a new user-name with or without password. What
do I have to do to get back into Windows?

Please help.

At your logon window select options and be sure the right place to logon is
there either domain or local machine. Once back into windows restore your
system to what it was before you changed it. You do not need to change
anything to connect to your home network. The domain computer as well as a
different workgroup named computer can connect to any network as long as you
have the proper username/password to connect to a share. If you can't logon
to the domain use the local machine option to get in and do the restore.
Another option is to start the computer in safe mode and logon as an
administrator and change the accounts to no password so you can get back
into them. Once in you can do the restore.
