When I click on Control Panel->User Accounts in Windows 2000, I get a list of Users for the computer with the capability to go into the properties. In Windows XP Pro, I get the fancy "Pick a Task..." and "Pick an account to change...". How do I switch this to the Windows 2000 style?

Run LUSRMGR.MSC from Start --> Run

Or run CONTROL USERPASSWORDS2 from Start --> Run (depending on which
interface you prefer)

Hi Colin,

Thanks for taking the time to help out.

So, there is no way to change how the user accounts are shown in Windows XP Control Panel->User accounts? Right now, I think its showing only 2 kinds of user groups: administrators and limited user. Power Users are shown as "Unknown type". Is this normal or is there a setting in the registry to change this?

That's definetely normal-- in XP Home the "Power Users" group doesn't even
exist. And I guess they want to use the same cute interface for both so
they didn't build in any support. Never heard of a way to hack it so that
Power Users show up.

I generally don't use that interface-- I usually use lusrmgr.msc (or the
Users+groups section under compmgmt.msc)
