change tool bar in outlook 2003 message to add actions

When I open a message, the functions for reply, forward, delete, etc. are
suggendly gone. I know I can use key strokes, but how do I get the buttons
back?

Click on view on the menubar and go down to toolbars. Make sure standard is
checked. That should do it.
