change tab focus on the ribbon?

I'd like to use VBA to change tab focus on the ribbon. I can't seem to figure
out how to do this or if it's possible to do. I've seen it done in Word (see
http://www.wordarticles.com/Shorts/R...bonVBADemo.htm) but I
struggled to follow the code there--the code there does a lot more than just
change focus. Can anyone give me a hand figuring this out? Thanks!
