Hi all,
currently we have a network in win2003 native mode with 2 domain
controllers.
We are using a 10.0.0.0/24 subnet, but we need to change it to
172.x.x.x. No problem at all for client,s cause they use dhcp, or
other systems, my only doubt is about domain controllers. Is it just
straight as changing ip addresses of the servers an reboot them two?
Or there is a certain procedure to follow?

Thanks in advance,

Luca.

The only thing that you have to be carefull with on the domain controllers
is the DNS service listening settings. By default on Windows 2003, the DNS
service is set to only listen on the IP that the server was origionally
setup for instead of listening on all IP's (the default for Windows 2000 and
below).

You can either change the DNS to listed on all IP's or add the new IP to the
set of IP's that the service listens on. Listening on only specified IP's is
more secure, however if there is only one IP on the server, this is mute.
