How can I change the start time of a meeting with out it automatically
changing the end time?

One way is to display the calendar in the Day view, select the top edge of the
event and drag it upward.

seems like you should be able to hold Alt or Ctrl when you change the start
time to let the End time remain as is, but that doesn't work.
