Is there a way to have Windows Explorer showing the newest files first the
*first time* one click on the Date Modified column header ?

By default, explorer sort files in ascending order, whatever the sort is.
It's useful for Name, Size, Type... columns, but I think it's really annoying
for the Date Modified column. I mean, 90% of the time, we want to know what
the newest files are. So 90% of the time we have to click twice on the date
header.

I know it's only a negligible issue, but it's a thing we do very often, so
eventually it's annoying.

Is it possible ? Is there a registry key to add ? A program that would do
that ?

Thanks in advance.

Romain Vallet.

No. With the Total Commander (http://www.ghisler.com/) you can define
your own folder layouts.
