Thank you for this, Peter. I tried this and it has always worked in the
past, but not this time. I tried again as per your directions, just in
case. I also right clicked on the shortcut, chose Properties, and see that
now the Open With default is Word 7. The "Always use this application to
open files with this extension" is checked but greyed out so I can't change
it. I go to Browse, choose the correct winword.exe file, but it will not
change the default from 7 back to 2003. This is *very* frustrating! If you
have more ideas, anyone, I'd appreciate hearing them.
