Change printing defaults for all uses

We've added a duplex unit to one of our printers.
I would like to make duplex-long edge the default for this printer for
all users.

I can't figure out where printing preferences are stored. I can log on
as a user,
change my preference -- that works. But searching for the printer
name in the registry only finds instances for the computer and
software, nothing for the individual user.

Our environment:
Servers are freebsd running samba as Primary Domain Controller.
Printer is an HP 5N, connected to the network.
Samba acts as print spooler and PDC.
We are not using active directory.
