Change power options in W2k

Hi

I need to ensure that a Windows 2000 Pro workstation does not enter standby.
When I'm installing Windows on a notebook, it set the computer to go into
system standby after 10 minutes or so.

If I change this option to "disable" standby in power management and I
create a new
user, it gets the default power scheme that says the computer should go into
standby.

1) Is there an option I can set, so that new users doesn't per default go
into standby?

2) Is there a programmatic way to ensure that the currently logged on user
(or any user),
doesn't goes into standby mode?

3) Is there a group policy that can be used to ensure that standby is not
default or never happens?

Hope someone can help me with this problem.

Regards
Brian
