I install the windows xp embedded develop tools and
component database on a single computor(Called The Server
following). And I logon The Server as administrator, and use
the tools to develop.

Now my problem is:When I want to import my component to
database with checking "Copy repository files to
repository root" checkbox,it failed(The error is
files, directories or volume label syntax is wrong) I think
the reason may be that I have read\write access to the
repository root.But why?

Made anyone an experience like this?
Does anyone know a solution for this problem?

The repository is read-only by default.

You can change the write permissions on the repository by adjusting the
properties of the repository directories. Clear the "Read Only" attribute
under the General tab. Also, check the settings for Administrator under the
Security tab, ensuring that the user has write permissions on the directory.

If you're still having trouble, try renaming the repository directory for
your component, and then re-importing the component.

hope this helps
Dan
