Change permissions on HKCU registry keys using group policy?

Hi All

I want to change the permissions on a particular registry key on all XP
SP2 machines in our organisation. It's the
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\ComputerDescriptions

Basically, the issue we have is that this registry key stores all
computer description for browsed computers on the network (ie you do
Start, Run \\computername\c$ and if it has a description associated,
the explorer window will show c$ on description (computername)). The
trouble is that when this description changes, unfortunately, this
registry key doesn't and so the explorer window still shows the old
description. We have a scenario where this is a problem.

Therefore the solution we have come up with is to delete all entries in
this key and then repermission it so that it can't be written to by the
user - therefore using the description given by the computer. We have
tested this and it works, but I can't work out how to apply this
permission on the key because it's a HKCU key - I only have the same
options for setting in Group Policy as you would if you were remotely
accessing the PC (LM, Users and Classes_Root).

Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks
Ruth
