Change order in Photo Printing Wizard?

In XP Pro (SP2), I sent several jpegs to the Photo Printing Wizard, but the
Wizard seems to have picked its own order in which the print them on the
pages. And it doesn't seem to matter whether I print one per page or
several per page. The order seems to be random.

Is there any way I can force a certain order, or change the order once I see
what the Wizard is displaying?

Maybe numbering the files would help.
Have a look at the following article:

Unfortunately, numbering doesn't affect the order in which the Photo
Printing Wizard prints them. And there doesn't seem to be a way to change
the order. Weird.

John, I think we tried to solve this problem before, but we never did.
It is the same as when selecting, say 4 pictures to e-mail. You would think
they would be attached in your message by numerical/alphabetical order, but
they never are. However, if placing the 4 pictures inside a new folder and
e-mailing the folder, then they are inserted in the proper order. However,
there is no command to "print this folder's files" like there is "e-mail
this folder's files.
If I remember correctly this was discussed very early after XP was released
and the best we could recommend was to use software offering this type of
print control.

I realised that Wizard allways prints the last picture as the first one and then the others in standard (right) order. So if I see it wants to do this, I simply rename the pics so that the original first is as the last one. Then I have them printed in the order I want...
