How can I change my free/busy time in Outlook to show that I'm not available
after 4PM. Normal office hours are 8 to 5, but I leave at 4. I'd like to
show that I'm not available from 4 to 5. I've had to set up a recurring
meeting from 4 to 5 that has me out of the office. But, there should be an
easier way to do this.

Hi, give this a try. click on tools, options, calendar options button, at
top of screen, start time, end time, just change the time to reflect your
time. Good luck.

I've done that, but I'm still showing as available when someone else
schedules me for a meeting.

rrupp, thanks for getting back on this. I've done this some time ago,
thinking that it would show me as unavailable, but after getting a meeting
request, I asked someone to schedule me for a meeting, and I showed as
available from 4 to 5.

I understand. That is a good question, I wonder if you would need to set up
a daily recurring appointment from 4 - 6?? I have a couple of users that do
that for this purpose.
Sorry I misunderstood your question, initially. Other than the above, I am
not aware of a solution. sorry.

If you want your free/busy data to reflect that you're out of the office,
you'll have to add an event for that time and mark it as out of the office.
