Thanks for your response. I visited the site you refeered to and already its
providing the answer to my question. It's just that I realise now my question
was not complete!
The navigation on the left of this page will help demonstrate what I'm
looking for. If you hover over each of the links, it's not just the text
itself that is highlighted. Instead, the hover backgroud colour remians
consistent in size occupying the full length of the margin. So as you hover
over each side link it looks neat and tidy. I've tried to fudge my ineptness
by inserting character spaces so each link is an equal 10 characters long -
but it just doesn't work.
Anyone any ideas?
