Change language premently keeps defaulting english U.S

's Computer Specifications

No matter what I do my default settings will not keep the new default change,
all the settings show I made the change yet when I go spell check it is set
at English U.S.

Check wether the option to "automatically detect language" is activated. If
it is, uncheckmark it. That might be causing the problem...
