I'm posting this again in case the first one was missed because of the
“re:” in the subject (even though it was started as a separate thread,
with the same name as an older thread that it continues). The subject
in both threads was “Change Journal Category name”.

The problem:

In Outlook 2003, I created a Category for Journal Entries called
"CatA". I would like to change the Category name to "CatB". I was
seeking a simple way to change all the Journal Entries falling under
"CatA" so that they now refer to "CatB"? Note that some Journal
Entries fall under more than one Category.

One response was to (quote):

> ...create and assign
> an additional category named CatB. Then change your view so that it is
> Grouped By category and then you can use drag and drop to assign the items
> with CatA also the CatB category. If you move it to the "No Category" group

Furthermore (in same thread):

dragging with the mouse can only add categories, you can't remove one
by
> dragging the item to the None Categories group.

My experience with the procedure has been confusing (new thread with
same subject):

Any suggestions? I'm using Outlook 2003.

Paul, there's more than just a timeline view; switch to a table view that
lists all of the items grouped by category.

That works awesomely! Thanks! Wish I had followed up sooner. Would
have saved endless amounts of buttonology.
