1. I've imported a BMP into FP2000 and it has a white BG and a black
FG. I'd like the BG to be transparent. Is there a way to do this?

2. Also I have text to the right of the image and its aligning with
the bottom edge of the image. Is there a way to center the text
horizontally to the middle of the image?

1- with a .gif or .png image you can have transparency...stick with the .gif
though.

2- put image in a one column two row table, image in top cell, text in
bottom cell.

Use an image editor to convert from .bmp to transparent .gif. The help
files in the image editor will assist.
