Hi tysoh,

See if reinstalling the display drivers help. Also, if you're using an LCD monitor, make sure you're running in it's native resolution. Otherwise the display might look fuzzy.

The Fonts folder icon setting is stored in this registry key:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{D20EA4E1-3957-11d2-A40B-0C5020524152}\DefaultIcon
(default) value should be %SystemRoot%\System32\main.cpl,9
of type REG_EXPAND_SZ

But I believe this might be an icon cache issue.

>> May i know how do I Rebuild or clear the icon cache?

Try:

Click Start and type "control desk.cpl,,2
Click Advanced, and set the "Icon" size to 31
Click OK, Apply

Repeat the above steps and reset the original size (32) for "Icons"
Click OK, Apply.

I have the same issue as Tysoh. I cannot fix the Fonts icon in control panel,
as it appears corrupt. I tired your suggestion and could not get either to
fix the problem.
Could not locate that specific .cpl icon while doing search either.
