To change font appearance in rich text as form is filled out?

I am creating a form to be filled out and I want what people type to be in a
different font and bold. How do I do that? I can change the way "Click here
to enter text" but not the text they enter.

I guess from your description you are using Word 2007 content controls. That
being the case you can set the style to format the content from the
control's properties..
