Hello, I have hundreds of Act 6.0 .iml (message files) that I can rename to
..eml and transfer to Outlook Express. How can I change a large number of
files from xyz.iml to xyz.eml without manually having to do each one?

Start > Run > Cmd (type in the box and press Enter). This will open a
command prompt window. Navigate to the desired directory and enter Dir *.iml
to verify all files listed should be renamed. (That is not a necessary step,
but could save you some grief if there happen to be files with the "iml"
extension you don't want to rename). Then, when satisfied all such files are
to be renamed, enter Ren *.iml *.eml This will change the extension from
"iml" to "eml" for all files with an "iml" extension but leave the filenames
unchanged.
