I want to change from word to wordpad for my editor, please tell me how to
do this.

Windows Mail does not accept external editors.
You would have to do a copy and paste procedure.

I assume you might be talking about *OUTLOOK* (as for WinMail no editor
can be associated).

If so: Visit one of the Outlook NGs in the MS newsgroup hierarchy.
When asking there pls specify your version of Outlook.
