May I also assume that the ability to hit Alt-G to enter a category for a
task is no longer available? It looks like my "process", with it's shortcut
keys designed so that I could set up a task without any use of the mouse had
also been undermined!

No, that's not possible. You're not the only one who finds the lack of
flexibility annoying. If you have a retail version of Office/Outlook 2007, I
