Hello red_spider,
The trick Ayush and Ramesh gave you *will* do what you want; but you
need to refresh your icon cache first. Here's a quick way to do it:
After making the registry change, right-click on the Desktop and choose
Properties | Appearance | Advanced.
In the drop-down Item list choose Icon. Change the size from 32 (or
whatever it is now) to 33. Click OK in that window and the previous one
-- you'll see a "Please Wait" message and the desktop will refresh.
Then go back and do the same thing again, but changing the icon size
back to 32 or whatever it was originally.
Now any folders you have on the desktop should have your chosen new icon
and the "New Folder" will also :-)
