How change default Advanced Search setting to search subfolders?

When an Outlook Personal Folder is selected and "Advanced Find" dialog
opened, the search will not include subfolders unless "Browse" is selected
and "Search subfolders is enabled." This is time consuming and I always want
to search the subfolders. This was not the case before Instant Search was
implemented in Outlook 2007. Is there a way to change the default?

Note - Instant Search has the same problem and for that reason I do not find
it useful for searches of Outlook Personal Folders.
