My first post so I hope I leave happy!

I have combined a couple of Excel spreadsheets and now have around 350 rows of data. The problem I have is that the dates are in 2 different formats, as in 5/11/2010 and 5 Nov 2010. The dates aren't all the same, they vary from 1840 to 2009.

Is there some way to convert them all to one or the other format without having to manually key each one? I have tried selecting the column and using the "format cells" function, without success. Are there any shortcuts?

Thanks.
