Hello Group!

I'm about to begin studying for MCP/MCSA and was wanting opinions on which
exam to go for. XP or 2k. What about the market today, is there a big push
to switch over to xp or are people sticking around with 2k?

Any help would be appreciated and all opinions will be weighed before being
dismissed.

Thanks,
Adam

Get both if you can. Win2k is still prominent in the market, but XP
will be showing up more and more. If you are really shooting for an
MCSA or possibly an MCSE, I would suggest testing for Win2k3 as well.

One more thing, don't base your career off of certifications. Some
companies look solely for that, but in my experience, they go for a
degree and experience.

I have a two year associates degree and a lot of experience, so I'm well
off without certifications, for now.

I'm close to a CCNA for Cisco, but don't really plan on anything
Microsoft for a while.

Just depends on what you plan to do with your career.

Assuming you are already working in some computer field... Study
whatever would help you most in your current position or career path.
