Hello world!

What exactly does that certificate revocation thing? And what it has to do
with NSW/NAV?
I'm referring to those apps trying to connect to crl.verisign.com at
startup.....

See
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT...av&svy=&csm=no
on the Symantec web site. The fix that worked for me was the second option
recommended by Symantec -- i.e., go to IE6>Tools>Internet Options>Security
and *un*check the "Check for publisher's certificate revocation" and "Check
for server certificate revocation (requires restart)" boxes.

Beats me. My dial-up connection applet popped up every time I ran NAV2003. A
lot of other people were having the same problem. For reasons I don't fully
understand, it was caused by (1) a certificate expiring while Verisign's
server was down and (2) Live Update updating virus definitions after the
certificate expired. In any event, unchecking the two boxes solved the
problem. Try the fix. If it doesn't work, just go back into IE6 and re-check
them.
