You may want to look at the turorial I put together for media and
PowerPoint.

Beyond that though, it sounds like you may have some hardware issues. I
would start by checking the manufacutures web site for your video card and
see if they have an updated driver. Next I would make certain that DirectX
is up todate. (Download from Microsoft) And finally, make certain you have
all the updates for Windows and Office installed.
